Canine Companions for Improving the Lives of Servicemen and Women
PAWWS-Paws Assisting Wounded WarriorS is a nonprofit organization providing service dogs to our country’s combat veterans to help them re-enter civilian life. Our dogs can aid soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) cope with these issues and live more independently after a career in the armed forces.
Helping Our Veterans 'Heel'
Veterans can experience traumatic events during their time on duty that can affect them for their entire lives. Our group aims to show our gratitude to these people by pairing them with a companion to help them re-acclimate back to a civilian life. We also provide the food, veterinary care, and equipment the service dog needs free of charge so our veterans can focus on recovering.
Our Mission
To enrich the lives of disabled veterans with the use of service dogs and to educate the public on the benefits of our service dogs.
